Essential Wedding Planning Checklist
There are three key elements in any wedding checklist: venue, photographer, and celebrant. While other elements such as food and catering are also important, these three items require some planning ahead of time.
It is a good idea to shortlist a few venues before settling on one. Once a shortlist is complete, the bride and groom can take time to check these out one by one. Inspecting venues and speaking to the management in person can provide a better idea of the quality of the venue. Having a shortlist also provides the couple with more flexibility in case the venue is not available on the required date or if there are restrictions attached, such as minimum number of people.
The choice of celebrant can be a deeply personal choice. Couples should take the time to meet with their celebrant and discuss the different approaches or packages that are available.
Couples should also take time to discuss their expectations with their photographer. They may need to visit the venue in person to check issues such as lighting before the date, so give the photographer sufficient time to set up.
