Just when I was about to blogpost my personal maternity photoshoot, I’d received very unexpected news that I had to go under the knife to deliver my little bubs 3 weeks early. Apparently, my placenta wasn’t functioning very well – I was low on amniotic fluid and poor bubs was in frank breech position. This meant that the baby’s legs were squished upwards and his head wasn’t engaged downwards for natural birth. A major part of me wanted to experience and brave through labour, but admittedly, I know I’m a chicken so it was blessing in disguise. Without further delay, I gave the doctors the official nod to go bring this bundle of joy into this beautiful world.
Praise God! At 5:25pm….our newborn son Jayden was born – our little Spring Rabbit baby. Oh, if you wondering why on earth do I have a rabbit doll featured in all my images, it’s because it symbolising the Chinese year of the Rabbit 
I don’t normally prance around in my lingerie or ever get my hair and makeup styled in the 50s era, but hey there’s always a first for everything. I really wanted to create a dreamy, romantic and vintage-inspired maternity shoot to celebrate the gift of motherhood. So here is it, a selection of my favourite maternity images which Alan had taken of me to mark 31 weeks of my pregnancy. My hair, make-up and outfits were styled by the gorgeous and talented Candice DeVille. She even took on the role as the photographer! Nice work Candice xx
